QOTD.

  • Did you remember to *fall back*?
  • How many clocks do you have that need to be set back today?
  • Do you wander your house setting them all or do you set a few *key* clocks and get to the others later?
  • How did you or will you spend your *extra* hour?
  • Without looking it up do you know who invented Daylight Savings Time?

Happy Sunday!

Q: Did you remember to *fall back*?
A: ugh.. was that today? LOL

Q: How many clocks do you have that need to be set back today?
A: the only non-automatic one is my iHome alarm clock - the one I actually NEED to be automatic :) And yet, though you'd think it would be a standard technology to include in a clock supporting technology like it does, it only has a stupid dst switch in the back you have to remember to MANUALLY switch on and off - all this for $99 - ugh!

Q: Do you wander your house setting them all or do you set a few *key* clocks and get to the others later?
A: GEE WIZ!!! I wlll NOW!!! Thanks for the heads up! LOL - good thing I had nothing scheduled to do today :-)

Q: How did you or will you spend your *extra* hour?
A: apparently SLEEPING - LMAO!!! (and rightfully so!)

Q: Without looking it up do you know who invented Daylight Savings Time?
A: It has to do with farmers and the Midwest to support daylight hours to be awake fro harvesting, etc.... it's a leftover from years ago...now they are playing with it to maximize sun glare on the roads in the morning/evening commuting times... Why not just leave the friggin' clocks alone and let me leave work early! It's hard enough being in another time zone from my boy without the extra crap...

(I've been for coffee already and back - and had NO clue! Thanks for the heads up :)

* Did you remember to *fall back*?
yes I did she says with her nanny nanny boo boo attitude! heh heh heh
* How many clocks do you have that need to be set back today? ugh too many at least three in the kitchen alone and at least another two including my clock radio.
* Do you wander your house setting them all or do you set a few *key* clocks and get to the others later?
the latter. MUCH easier.
* How did you or will you spend your *extra* hour?
playing games on the Meez site to support my clothes habit! and/or sleeping
* Without looking it up do you know who invented Daylight Savings Time?
what the anony person said.. something to do during the depression I think - a way for farmers to get an extra hour of day light for harvesting and seeding I believe. But I haven't cheated and looked it up!

And this is Q(s)OTD yes? (-;

word ver - phoun... cell or otherwise?

· I did remember to *fall back*.
· I have 4 actual clocks, 1 cell phone, 1 computer, 2 televisions, 1 dvd player and 2 clocks in my car to rest. Thankfully the computer and cell reset themselves and I will get the kid to reset the rest. He's handy like that. Tee Hee. He only has his cell, 2 computers and his iHome {which has that little DST button that anony mentioned above}. His cell and comps reset on their own so all he had to do was push that little button on the iHome.
· I do tend to reset the key clocks and get to the rest when I get to them or when they annoy me to the point of distraction.
Oddly enough I was awake at my normal time this morning even though my Bose hadn't been changed yet. I was not fooled.
· I am hoping to meet my sister later for coffee. Seems like a great way to spend my extra hour.
· DST has been attributed to Benjamin Franklin for the very reasons mentioned by both anony and T.

Happy Sunday!
*hugs*

yes I did

* How many clocks do you have that need to be set back today?

one in the living room and the vcr clock and my watch evidently LOL

* Do you wander your house setting them all or do you set a few *key* clocks and get to the others later?

All of the computers took care of themselves, I set the microwave and alarm clock before I went to bed. I rarely use the recorder in the bedroom so who knows if that will ever get set LOL. The rest I will catch as I notice them.

* How did you or will you spend your *extra* hour?

scanning books from my bookshelf in my office into the Delicious Library program on my macbook. I got a wild hair, what can I say. It is a cool program.

* Without looking it up do you know who invented Daylight Savings Time?

no I can't but I can tell you what a ridiculous concept it is here in AK. Within two weeks time the daylight has changed back to getting dark or light at the same time of day then moves beyond LOL. I can tell you that Gov Sheffield changed AK from 4 timezones to 2.

oh, I can say that the recent change of time-change from the second week in Oct to the first weekend in Nov is reduce the amount of time in a normal persons day when light bulbs are needed. It was a measure to save energy production.

Again, in AK this is nonsense and in today's 24 hour life style I wonder if it really saves all that much.
