Yes, that is why there are two separate words for them. Forgiveness is an act of the will. Memories and the feelings they generate are part of our nature. I also believe there are things that we are incapable of forgiving on our own and therefore have to pray for divine intervention, for the grace to forgive. If we ask, we will receive.

How well do I know them? Family and close friends it is a hug.

If I am making my own salad at home, I put it on. At a restaurant, where you are never sure just how much dressing you will get, I ask for it on the side.

yes, absolutely. I have been on silent retreats for 8 days. Wonderful experience.

Can you ever really forgive if you can't forget? In theory yes you can and indeed it's best to do so in order to have closure and move along. I'd say easier to forgive but NOT forget.
Soup ~
Handshake or hug? Family and good friends - hugs work and colleagues usually a nhand shake - except for all those who I see at conferences annually - hugs -

Where do you like your salad dressing: on the salad or on the side? at home - on the salad.. in the restaurant - depends.. reputation and previous experience as too much of any dressing kills a salad.

I feel that the two have absolutely no connection. I can make a choice to forgive but since I have no control over my mind I can't possibly make that conscious choice to forget anything. Triggers will happen and I will remember. Hopefully it will be a fleeting thought and my life will continue on without skipping a beat.

Handshake or hug?
Hugs. Unless it is some creepy person. Of course I only offer a handshake to people I am just becomming acquainted with.

I perfer my salad dressing on the side. Even at home I tend to put it in the side of my salad bowl rather than all over the salad.

Have you not met me? Unless it was a dare or I was seriously pissed I dunno if I could keep my mouth shut for that long.

these days on the side - to use less to keep the salt intake down.

Longest I've gone is 24 hours for the Boy Scout's "Order of the Arrow" initiation. I also had to ceremoniously give blood by being cut in the hand, sleep under a tree in the woods, work for 12 hours - all while not speaking. I come close to it often when I am alone at home, but I tend to break the monotony by singing to iTunes or going out to the store if I'm in danger of getting cabin fever...

Handshake or hug? Depends on the situation and the relationship with the person.
Salad {literally} ~
Where do you like your salad dressing: on the salad or on the side? On. (Now had you asked about ketchup for a hamburger, I would have said side. It is an old habit I picked up from my college roommate. He said by doing it that way, you are sure to get a good amount of ketchup with each bite. I also do that with grilled rueben sandwiches using 1000 Island dressing.)

Gotcha covered, t :-)
First song is aha
Last song is ZZ Top (alphabetically)
Then numerically,, fist is 4 Non Blondes
Last is .38 Special
Bach and all of the Zeppelin are all in there, Zeppelin contains all of Plant's good albums and a few Page and Page/Plan albums too - However, Bach does not contain the often sought after "Bach plays the Beatles" - I found it trite :( So, there's plenty more to acquire...
our Anon must be a Mister because who ELSE but a Mister would have 14k worth of songs on an ipod.
so.. since I don't own an ipod, if our friend the Blonde know who our Mr Anon is, I propose to just send a cheque ( in big yankee dollars) and you can buy me the ipod AND fill er up too? LOL

"our Anon must be a Mister because who ELSE but a Mister would have 14k worth of songs on an ipod."
ummm..Yup.
I am not a mister. I have 1116 songs and 9 videos on my cute pink iPod mini. I have 1.5 GB free space. I don't want a larger capacity iPod. This one suits me just fine. Well, plus they don't make the larger ones in pink. LOL!
as I said earlier..."boys and their toys!"

p.s. Yes, I do know who mr. *14k songs* anon is.
