On My Mind.

Football. {No, seriously. ;-) }  That is what is on my mind right now.  My 'devil's tanked yesterday. Rudy's Badgers won their grudge match and retained possession of Paul Bunyan's Axe, so there is that at least.  I am hoping that my Fantasy Football team gets a win today but not holding my breath on that one.  {I did win my match-up last week though!} Later my Cowboy's play the Broncos.  {Dallas is supposed to win by 3 but we shall see about that.}

So. That is what is on my mind. {I know. Shocker, huh?}

My big question is:
What is on YOUR mind today?

U of I Hawkeyes are undefeated 5-0 (fingers crossed cuz next week is a killer!)

Today is 10/4. Feast of St. Francis of Assisi - patron saint of animals.

It's also my boss' birthday and amidst the cut throat tension between us, I pulled out a birthday cake that the team procured and presented it to her on Friday with wishes for a happy birthday. We had a lovely 5 minute cease fire birthday celebration and then BACK TO IT - LOL!!!! We're like two Samurai Fighting Fish in a small bowl...

It's about two months since Laura (Mark III) and I have talked and I'm both missing her and telling myself good riddance at the same time.

I'm no longer hurting from the hangover I had from Friday night's bar scene - a friend's band was playing and it's the first time I heard her sing - she's really good! While there, after lots of eye contact and mutual smiling I hit on the bartender who told me she has a boy friend but in the same breath that she works every Friday night... ;-)

Other than that, I am working this weekend in between goofing off and cleaning house. I am not motivated to any of those three at the moment.

In a nutshell, that is what's on my mind.

I am doing laundry and cleaning old files off the macbook while watching the cowboys.

My fantasy team is tanking at the moment but most of my players are tonight and tomorrow night.

I am going to make some curry for dinner.

I am also contemplating the new server for the house that I will be building next week. my 9 year old iMac that I have been using as a server lost a power supply and I figured it was just as cost effective to build a new "green" server as to hunt down and replace the power supply.

That's about it at the moment.

I'm sorry BLondie... I just didn't get any of your post at all save for the what's on my mind thingy...

so... first of the big what's on my miknd is a big THANK YOU for saving me from paying some idiot geeky nerd a huge pile of moola to turn my Dell back on. yheah... sd seriously a BIG thank you for your bit of wisdom on the hibernating laptop. Who thought of such a stupid thing any way... it's either ON or Off... zero or one... not one half...

the other thing I have on my mind is way the H didn't the ex feed the girls dinner before sending them home to me at 7:30 at night. Run to the 24 hour grocery store, pick up some already cook ed chicken and a bunch of other things... MORE eye rolling.

and the last thing on my mind - moving all the crap that I am not getting rid of pronto back to the basement so I can re gain my dining room. Not sure when I'll need it - but it would be good to have the space back...

now I will go back and try and decipher your post... From what I read.. a bunch of animals are gathering some where because some other poor animal was hacked to pieces by an ax and it's being celebrated or something by a bunch of Cowboys riding broncos in Dallas and while all this is going on you're having fantasies about foot ball players. NO shock there.. football players look great in their spandex uniforms and padding. Once they get rid of that stuff though... all flab too bigt and bruisy looking. Stick to Rudy.

Badgers are 5-0 as well. 'Devils, not so much. They are 2-2. They tanked on Saturday. It was an embarrassing game, imho.

Cake is always good. Or it is a lie. Depends on who you are talking to, I guess.

Two months isn't very long. Healing takes time. Hang in there.

You going back to the bar this Friday?

That was a lot of info to put in a nutshell. What the heck size was the nut? A CoCo-Nut? tee hee!

Barring a miracle I think your Fantasy team is gonna take a loss this week,darlin. Plus I just can't go for the Vikings tonight. I have 3 guys playing on the Packers. :-/ Fantasy Football forever changes the way a person watches football, doesn't it? {okay. I will put on my vikings shirt and socks but I am not going to actively root for them. ;-)}

Curry. Yummy. I don't have any curry but I did pick up some more Naan. mmmm. I am considering turning it into a pizza.

I think your mac took a power surge hit. sad. *Green* is always good and makes points with our hippy daughter. *grin*

*smooch*

T. Doll. You crack me up. Was my football-speak too much for you? Your last paragraph had me spewing my drink. That is some funny stuff,girlfriend.

You are very welcome. I was very happy to read that my fix actually fixed it! WooT for easy repairs and no money being put out!

You X is an idiot. 'nuff said? You will continue to do what you have to do when he proves himself once again.

I saw photos of your pretty basement over on FB. VERY nice! Very sunny and bright. I hope you take the time to enjoy your new space as much as possible.

and I fully intend to stick with Rudy. He is my lobster. We belong together.

*hugs*
