ah, it must be smorgasbord day, grab a plate, get in line and help yourself.

I will start....

hulu has recently announced that they will start charging for the service in 2010. Do you use hulu? would you pay for the service? if they improved quality of service and did away with the ads?

I will be back to comment later.

white on white... very nice.

also a good strategy to not actually put a meal on the table so to speak eh? No ideas this week?

Hulu... nope don't use it I am annoyed that Pandora doesn't run in Canada ... damn music licensing laws.

speaking about meals... I had a lousy lunch today and am starving. Leaving in an hour to go make a meal!

I have to say I have rarely used hulu but I like the idea. The ability to catch an episode that I had missed is a good idea. Sometimes you just have to be somewhere else and have conflicts that keep you out of the easy chair when the show is being "aired".

What does disappoint me is if I am a late comer to a new series, I can't watch from the beginning to catch up on the background story.

Would I pay for hulu? not in its current form. Maybe it is just the reportedly slow networks in AK but the delivery of what I did watch wasn't without glitches.

Wasn't the big sell for cable tv "pay up front and don't watch commercials that don't apply to you anyway". Now, half the night on most channels on cable are commercials that have been turned into shows. Ads liter the same amount of program time on cable that they do on over the air "free" tv. So what am I paying for again?

If hulu is going to bring this marketing scheme to on-demand tv they will encounter backlash and promote piracy.

I like the idea of digital delivery. It is on my schedule, I can rewatch when I want, there are no cds or dvds to litter the landscape/landfill or poison me in the event of a fire.

I would also like the idea of paying a reasonable fee to get just the 10 channels I watch out of the 130 I pay for now. If I choose to only subscribe to 5 channels then my fee should go down accordingly.

I would subscribe to hulu to get good quality, on demand, ad free, better selection, and at least the totality of the current season.

If they are going to keep the ads, limit the content, limit the availability, have delivery problems then no, they should get their money from the advertisers not the consumers. If that is the case then I will get my tv shows from... oh I don't know... iTunes perhaps? where I do get what I want, when I want, high quality, ad free for a reasonable price. I think the pricing on iTunes is more like buying season boxed sets on dvd. If hulu did unlimited streaming only at lower cost for the current season, they just might have something.

Rudy! Excellent. Smorgasboard. But you are German, not Swedish. ;-)Regardless you saw an empty plate and you filled it. I had no idea where anyone would go with this but was quite pleased to see where you did.

As far as hulu goes I don't use it. The marrieds use it quite extensively. They have for a couple years now. I doubt they would pay a premium to use it though. They don't pay for cable so I doubt they would pay for hulu. The only online watching I do is to catch up with my Grey's Anatomy or the You Tubes that you and the kid send my way.

T,
No ideas. Weary. Didn't feel the Meal this week. Thus the empty plate. I don't use Pandora either.
What was up with your lousy lunch? What was your dinner? The kid took me out to our favorite mexican place for dinner. And he paid. He is loving having a job that he enjoys that also brings in the big bucks. LOL!

E,
No food. Weary people go out for dinner. The real question is do you hulu?
