Never Forgotten.

I watched a show the other night that highlighted the brave men who went into the building to rescue people before the collapse, many of whom were never heard from again.

Still very touching.

I was lucky not to know anyone first hand, but I know people whose lives were directly affected. Luckily, a friend was late for work and simply went home that day. My brother and sister both worked in Midtown so they were safe but affected by the long long scary commute home... My other brother and my father went to cover a firehouse in the Bronx so that the Bronx firemen could go into Manhattan. I worked all day 20 minutes north of NYC - I was in charge as the Director and VP were both out - I did not see the news until 7PM and I shut down and cried on the spot. I had taken classes there 10 years before. The Towers were impressive and even now when I see an old show with them in the skyline on TV, I remember...

I have a fabulous photo of the towers that I took when I went to NYC the very first time ever in 1979. That photo is now extra precious.
We will remember and say our prayers for all those directly affected by this day of infamy.
