hopefully you won't have to do that on your own again.

I can see that you were nailing into a knot (tighter wood grain) and you were probably using your favorite ball peen hammer (not heavy enough) and it was at an angle where the face of the hammer wasn't flush with the nail head when it struck. Considering all that, I think you did fine. Oh, and it was windy and the boards were fighting you too.

we can train you if you want lol

T,
I was at the end of a very long row of over 200 fence boards that needed reinforcing due to the fact that the staples that were used to put them up were not quite long enough and when the winds started the fence boards began to fall. One. By. One.
The kid and I took care of one stretch and thought that the other would be okay but apparently not so much. Being the only blondie at home it fell to me to get my ass out there and reinforce. So I did. And I did a damn good job also too. Well, except for the 3 or 4 boards that look exactly like the photo. Where the first nail went in stupidly and so I added a second.
Bottom line - I can fix the fence but I am not a fence builder. Or nail nailer. {I was nailed once though..but I digress }

Oh, and Rudy, darlin. Thanks...but no. I am not interested in a career as a fence builder. Or nail nailer for that matter.
