A Caught in a Downpour Rainy Day Story
Dear Lady in front of me on line at Starbucks,
Seriously? You may think you ordered two of the same drink but neither the guy behind the counter nor I heard you do so. This isn't the guy's fault. It is yours. And no, they did not change the size of their cups. A tall has always been the small unless you wanted just a teeny drink. That is called a short.
The guy behind the counter knows when you order your drink Half-Caf that you want half regular espresso, half decaf espresso. You don't need to school him. I think hes already been to Starbucks school where he learned that.
Even if the guy behind the counter {who, btw wants to smack you at this point but he may have to get in line because now the queue behind you which was only 1 deep when you started is now about 6 deep} tells you that he can't give you cash back when you use your debit card you can STILL use the damn thing and gtfo. You don't need to then put it back away and paw through your bag looking for your Starbucks cards that you don't even know how much is on them causing him to have to figure it out for you. Then being confused that you still owe him $7.10 you must dig through your bag once again for the cash. Seriously. This could have all been avoided had you just swiped your debit card from the beginning.
Holy crap on a cracker lady. Did they just let you out alone this morning? Oh, and thanks for trying to run me over on your way out of the parking lot. I appreciate the extra jolt of adrenaline that the venti psl I almost spilled all over myself didn't offer.
Sincerely,
The increasingly disgruntled blonde behind you in line.

Iced -
A Conversation in 13 Lines
A Conversation in 13 Lines
- Me: Is this the only way Iced VIA comes?
- Starbucks Girl: Yes it is.
- Starbucks Girl: Why do you ask?
- Starbucks Girl: Do you like it really sweet?
- Me: Oh dear no. I like my iced coffee with no sweet at all.
- Starbucks Girl: Yeah, me too.
- Starbucks Girl: You can take the regular VIA and make it iced though.
- Me: Seriously?
- Me: I didn't know it would dissolve properly in the non hot water.
- Starbucks Girl: Yes, yes it will.
- Starbucks Girl: I do it all the time.
- Me: --> Starbucks Girl *fist bump*
- Me: Thanks so much.

No Starbucks Iced VIA for this Blondie. That is for certain.
p.s. There is a new poll on the sidebar.

Thursday Thirteen:
Reasons Why Blondie is Disgruntled
- My house is hot because the cooler is broken. Again. {The kid has since come home and fixed the cooler but my house was a bit warm for the past 48 hours.}
- I haven't had a drink in almost two weeks.
- There is a drip from the faucet on the front porch.
- My checking account balance is disgustingly low.
- I don't know what to have for dinner.{I started this list last night. I decided on a turkey sandwich. It was very good and only 300 calories.}
- Summertime TV sucks ass.
- I have a headache. {headache is gone}
- Have I mentioned I haven't had a drink in two weeks? {after today I believe I will treat myself to a drink this evening.}
- The scale says I have gained a pound. I am calling foul on that one.
- I spluttered coffee all over my yellow shirt this morning. {oh. wait. That was Rudy. tee hee!}
- For the first time in my 33 year driving experience I got pulled over and got a ticket. Granted it was a fix-it ticket for my front windshield but still. My record is broken now. grrr!
- There was not a single package of Angel Food Cake in the store. I need it for Saturday. I hate that I now have to go to another store later. How is this helpful?
- It is 1130 and I just realized that I haven't had any coffee today. There is way too much blood in my caffeine system today.

QOTD.
I am disgruntled. I spent way too much time attempting to isolate a fcuking trojan/malware/spyware/crapware on my computer. The end result is that 12 hours after I noticed I had a problem my computer is clean and seems to be no worse for the wear. It is actually better off now as all my definitions are updated and I have added a few new tools to my interwebs security arsenal.
QOTD:
How often do you scan your computer for crap? Do you make sure that your definitions are up to date without fail? Or are you one who thinks it could NEVER happen to you?
